Courtney & Jerel

Welcome to the first ever Katie O. blog post! I am very excited for this new adventure and to share my beautiful couples with you!

In honor of my first Katie O. Weddings Blog and the fact that fall is around the corner, I am releasing a Labor Day Sale that lasts through the end of September! If you book your 2019 wedding by the end of September and sign up for my mailing list, you will receive $95 off of your engagement session! Click here to go to my inquiries page! Below is a peak at Courtney and Jerel's engagement session which I photographed in October of 2017, and their wedding is below that!

Courtney and Jerel are two of the sweetest people I've met. They are hardworking, funny, and as you can see by how they look at each other in these pictures, very much in love .

All of Courtney's details were absolutely gorgeous, from her gown to her tiara! People don't usually think about what perfume they wear on their wedding day, but I always love photographing them! That way you remember exactly what scent you wore, and every time you smell it you'll be brought back to your day.

I loved how Courtney's bridesmaids reacted when they saw her for the first time in her wedding dress! I genuinely look forward to the day when the closest people in my life get together to celebrate my wedding. I want it to be really small, but I swear, if I don't get a reaction from my friends like the one Courtney got, I will be salty!

Courtney and Jerel said "I do" beneath the July sun with their friends and family looking on.

This was my first time working a wedding at the Waterview, and I must say that I was not disappointed! Big, bright windows and a great staff made for a smooth reception!

From the toasts to the cutting of the cake, Courtney and Jerel had a fabulous and hysterical party!

Father Daughter and Mother Son dances hold a very special place in my heart, and these two had such beautiful families. It was such an honor to be a part of their day and capture these moments for them.

The bouquet and garter toss was so much fun! I really want to show the dance that happened with the two people who caught their respective items, but I think it might be just a bit too scandalous for a blog! Comment below if you think I should post it anyway!

Keep an eye out for the people behind Courtney and Jerel, there are some really funny transitions that I caught but didn't notice until I started editing!

I finished off the night with these two by taking them back out into the garden when the light was beautiful to get just a few last portraits of them. I felt so blessed to be there with them that day, and I will always look back on these images fondly!
